Anyone planning to see 13 hours? OT

Anyone planning on going to see it? I think it will be good but at the same time I'm worried about the acting. I feel like it might end up being somewhat like Act of Valor acting. I'm looking forward to yalls reviews. Hopefully Hillary didn't get her hands on the script.

I'm reading stuff on it saying it's a real truthful depiction of events...quite the opposite of what's been manufactured in the name of partisan politics. I'm not normally a Michael Bay fan, but this may rank as his best or at least among his best. I plan to see it.

It sure wouldn't be fun to be HRC right now.  I hope she's a music fan, because the hits just keep on coming.

the movie is about what happened on the ground and does not mention her or politics in any way. It was written from the CIA security guards point of view.

John, these guys have their fantasy, don't ruin it for them.  Never mind the whole event has been investigated 7 times and http://mediamatters.org/research/2015/10/16/fox-news-finally-concedes-benghazi-committee-is/206217

And that's what makes it important viewing.

  • I will wait untik I can watch it from the comfort of my own home. My wife does not like when I watch war movies in the theater. I end up finding a few drinks after and start aggressively bitching about foreign policy and how the govt tied our hands when I was in Afghanistan. Decisions made by civilians regarding a combat zone are comical.

I had heard that as well.  It doesn't matter what the movie is about though, she would prefer to have the events in question not be in the forefront.

Same as the email lawbreaking.  Even if she receives a pardon or otherwise makes a deal - the constant trickle is not helping.

She can't really begin to shake the untrustworthy vibe until this stuff fades away.

HRC aside - I'm looking forward to the movie.

Jeb! Bush, as governor of FL used a private email SERVER from 1999 to 2007.  Aren't you incensed!?  All the things we'll never know are super-duper damaging!

I'm thinking now the same thing. Plus that way I can eat steak and potatoes instead of popcorn. And my wife also says she won't go during flu season.....

I say lock up anyone regardless of party if they did something against the law - regardless of political affiliation.   No playing favorites for me - the law is the law.

If Jeb sent or received classified docs and it was illegal at the the time, he can be cellmates with HRC for all I care.

If Jeb broke the law he should be instantly disqualified from running while his punishment is sorted out, and this should be applied to HRC as well.

Do you know if he transmitted classified docs, or if his set up was illegal at the time as it was for HRC?

I don't know about classified documents, but the Freedom of Information act regulates government communication to a certain degree.

Let's not forget that during W's reign his bestie and right hand hatchet-man Karl "Turd Blossom" Rove used a private email account when he was orchestrating the firing of U.S. Attorneys. Private email accounts were also used by others in his administration.

Realistically, I have no doubt that many folks everywhere occasionally conduct official business on private email accounts just as many also occasionally conduct personal business via employer email accounts.

I think any and all should be prosecuted, but especially if they put Americans at risk by mishandling classified docs.  Throw the book at them - Democrats and Republicans.

So ironic Hollywood is now the source of the most honest telling of the tragedy.

  • Somehow, 13 Hours seems to be George Bush's fault. When will they get over him? I am hopeful that the grownups win this election.

That was my impression from the Movie Trailers I've seen.  It's an action flick about the attack.

Agreed, they treat these people as though they are above the law, any normal citizen who made 1/400th would have been in much more trouble. Look how they handled Gen Patreus, his career was much more dedicated/decorated than HRC...
