NOLA Trip for New Years was a food frenzy

I think I have sealed the deal for BC2016 if work schedule and time allows.  My wife and I decided to head to LA for New Years and it did not disappoint!  So much so that I even asked on the way home if we can go back for brisket camp.  She asked what the hell that was and I said it is drinking and eating. Her reply was so what is so different then what we just experienced.  We had a blast and couldn't believe how much food we ate in such a short period of time.  I have never experienced such great hospitality and food in the states.  We are looking forward to going back soon and I am looking forward to planning on attending BC2016.  I attached a few of our stops for food but these were my top 5.  Lucky us we even got to see the NYE parade. FYI the late night Street Q is amazing!  I also was doing a bit of drunk surfing and found @SGH recipe for Gumbo and was able to pick up all the supplies that we can not get in our area.
Thanks again for looking

Looks like a heck of a good time and some great grub to boot. Hope that you enjoy the gumbo my friend.

Yep, good choices there. Been to several of those myself. That muffuletta looks really good. Does not look like our favorite from Central Grocery, which may be the best sandwich we have ever had, but still looks great.

We try and do our do our do diligence before heading anywhere and I think we did especially well on this trip.  We missed a couple of places that we wanted to hit up because I decided to have way to much to drink two nights in a row and then have a Hurricane at Pat O'Brians.  Lets just say it didn't work out in my favor.

@epcotisbest the Muffuletta was amazing and I will hit up Central Grocery next visit as it was on our list.
