Cherry Jalapeño BBQ Beef Ribs on the Mini BGE

Used the beef ribs that I reserved from the prime rib I cooked up for Christmas Day. Tossed them on the mini with a chunk of rum barrel wood. Gave them some Cherry Jalapeño BBQ sauce to finish. Delicioso!!

@Dyal_SC. And @northGAcock I have the leftover ribs from a rib roast too. How long do you cook these ribs? I'm assuming, you cook to a desired temp, unlike beef short ribs.northGAcock said:Ha man.....that is my favorite leftover in the world. Have the ribs from 2 Prime rib cooks in the freeze. Ribs look great.

I just gave these some smoke and a 300ish degree degree + or - 25 degrees dome temp for about an hour. Then some sauce forward the end. It'll probably depend on how thick or thin you cut the ribs from the roast. The meat was like butter though on the ones I made tonight.Hawg Fan said:

Great looking cook. The sauce combo sounds great. Never thought about cherry jalapeno before. My brother got me a blueberry bbq sauce for xmas that I'm anxious to try. Not totally sure what to use it on though.Large and Small BGECentral, IL

Thx!! Blueberry BBQ Sauce sounds great! I would imagine it would be good on pork tenderloin, salmon or ribs.saluki2007 said:Great looking cook. The sauce combo sounds great. Those look great! Did you cut the ribs off before cooking the roast or were these par cooked with the roast?Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

I left them intact along with the roast, ten cut them off after the roast finished.SmokeyPitt said:Those look great! Did you cut the ribs off before cooking the roast or were these par cooked with the roast? -
Thanks Dyal! I have a 4 bone slab in the fridge now that was cooked with the roast. In hindsight I wish I didn't do such a good job cutting the meat close to the bone
