I've posted this before, but I have Comcast for my land line and with caller ID. I never answer a call I don't recognize. When the call volume gets annoying I sign into my account and it gives me a record of incoming calls. I then make a list of the ones with repeated attempts. Then with Comcast I can either block them in the future or what I reserve for the worst offenders is I redirect their future calls to another annoying telemarketer's number!

When I get unsolicited telemarketers I tell them "We are on a "do not call" list.  When I complained to the FCC about people still calling us despite the fact that we are on the list, they told me to get the name and the social security number of the caller as it is your individual responsibility to make sure that EVERYBODY you call is not on the list.  So, please give my your name and social security number so I can write it down and report you to the FCC so they can bring charges against you."

None of this is true, but it is fun to hear the stammering on the other end of the line.  Hopefully, some of them are really cautious about who they call after that.  You're welcome.
