@slovelad  Got me a rescue the night of the floods here in Columbia. That little **** has been hell ever since. Saturday night I had two nicely prepared calzones prepped and sitting beside my egg while the stone was heating up. The little **** "Maddie" got one of them and was beginning to chow down when I caught her. Any how, you need another dog?

I feel your pain, for both you and @northGAcock .  My dog, Maggie, was a rescue too.  She has got a hold of my first thermometer (it was a RTC models (around $25), not a Thermapen, thankfully)) and got many other items too.

The other day, I had a stick of butter on the Blackstone shelf.  Looked to grab it while getting ready to cook and it wasn't there.  Maggie took it and was eating it.

Something always with that dog I tell ya.

My rescue just cut out the middle man and chewed up my wallet multiple times.

Which came first the chicken or the egg?  I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

    Ok, I'll say it..... Devastating

my dog is constantly trying to steal off the egg table or black stone. She got a couple pieces of bacon last week.  This week she went out after the bacon cook. I didn't have to clean the grease catch at all.  =)

Smokey, I am awaiting a replacement ATM card now as mine also went the rout of the wallet.

After it happened to me 3 times I finally learned to put my wallet where she couldn't get to it.

My dog ate a couple of the Christmas decorations. Then he looked like he was always praying. Turns out he had a 3" wire poking out of his stomach. $2,200.00 later all is good. Well except for my bank account............

    Yep, he is a rescue

I think if the situation actually came up you would think twice about it.

My my wife has a chihuahua that I dont particularly get along with, she is a PITA, but when she got pahrvo several years ago, I forked out the $600 to save her cause she was part of the family.

There are no more loyal friends, than a families dogs.

You know this was at 5:30am Thanksgiving morning. So everything was in out of wack. The given estimate prior to surgery that morning was $4,100.00.

When we went to pick him up, Shelly asked if there was a reduction in cost based on not having to open the stomach since they could just pulled it through. And she replied "Possibly, let me ask".
I was doing back flips when she said yes, it will only be $2,200.00.
So Christmas is still on for the family.
So if you don't ask they won't tell?

I also said the same thing but then my dog broker her back and it was either put her down or do surgery.  I don't want to admit what I paid.

Yep, our now 7  month old 'doby' chowed through two expensive pairs of glasses, started grabbing anything near the egg.  Pulled the Woo CI off the Egg a few days ago and decided to put it up high so she couldn't get at It, and it promptly fell to the ground and shattered the grill..   grrrrrr.....

This genius also ate an entire kevlar hi-temp oven glove that had some brisket juice on them. Took him in for an Xray and there was a giant black hole where his stomach was. It was going to be like $3000 I gave him a day and he finally passed it. He has eaten an entire pound of whole wheat pasta, a bag of chocolate chips, full bag of brown sugar, and full bag of doritos on my white couch...the hits keep coming with this one.

The pasta was actually the worst. He couldn't move without spraying from everywhere for 2 days.

Sounds like the little guy has a problem with junk food. A white couch and 2 days of butt spray, he probably thought it need to be replaced not cleaned!!
