Which wok to buy

Been looking at the wok shop store online.  Which wok is good for a large egg and or kitchen use?  What is the setup for the egg that i would need?  I know its been posts on here before but i cant seem to locate them.  Anybody have any of the grace young books about woking?  Just tryin to figure out what to tell my wife an idea for Christmas.  Any help is appreciated, Thanks

What kind of range do you have? If gas, get a round bottom carbon steel and a wok ring. A spider from CGS works great with the round bottom as well.

@highball Nice! I too use a gas burner - mine's just a fish fryer I like. I don't think home stoves produce near enough BTUs for a proper stir fry. I haven't done stir fry on my egg. I'm lusting for a mini max to put to this purpose however.
Oh, and I have two 14" woks I've used for 30 years. I don't know how that helps - but there ya go...
    Coleman, Texas
Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

The FireDisk that @caliking was using at BB19 was very impressive.
It makes chicken wings taste like magic.

The FireDisc is a great cooker. I have had mine for a month or so. Have cooked many times on it as have others at the Butt Blast. It is good for stir fry and a great fryer. It will also hold 5 gallons if you want to make a stew, soup or chili. Last weekend I use it to steam some crab legs. It is legit.

    Fajitas.

    Stir fry.

    Tsunami shrimp tonight.

    Almost done.

It is also portable, will cook with 1 pound tanks and 20 pound tanks.
I drink cheap beer so I can afford good bourbon.

The FireDisc is awesome. @bubbajack was kind enough to haul it to BB 19 for some of us to cook on. We used the camping bottles for fuel, but I believe there’s an adapter to use propane tanks too.

There’s a chance that I may end up with one the next time caliqueen leaves the country for a spell.
