Pizza patience pays off...

My first pizza usually takes longer and is not as good as my second or third.  Last night a got the dome temp up to 600 and then waited about another 1/2 hour before I put the first one on.  I shot the pizza stone with the infrared thermometer and it read 560 degrees.  This was the best first pizza I have made.  Patience paid off. Green pepper, onions, mushroom, sausage and pepperoni.

Looks good.  First pizza is like first pancake, you gotta wait or it'll come out strange.

The temp of your stone is very important. Likely that in the past you did not wait long enough and put your first pie on with the stone in the high 400's... Great looking pizza.
