No love for rib tips?

I did a search. On a forum that is over 10 years old, there are half a dozen mentions of tips.

Huh. Any reason? When I lived in the Midwest, in the '70s, I lived for tips from Frankie's in South Bend IN. It was the first real BBQ I ever had. (Frankie's is still thriving, with mixed reviews.)

Sunday I'm going to be trimming a couple full racks down to St Louis cut, and I'm going to make tips from the ends, and the skirt too I guess. Just a rub. Since it's Wednesday, I haven't really decided what to do, and those tips can go a few different directions. They could wind up in beans, or they could get Southwestern seasoning and wind up in tacos or burritos. Or they could wind up as tips, with BBQ sauce. A bbqer can do a lot with tips.

Rib tips, they don't get enough love!
