Clean burn question

Hey Everyone
With all the rain in the SE I haven't done much egging. I came home today and he's got mold all inside along with the platesetter and daisy wheel, grate etc that was inside.
I'm doing a clean burn now, is there a temp and certain time I should be working with? Anything else I should be doing? Do you wipe it out when your done? Thanks

I had this. Pull the temp gadge and put in lump and let her rip. No need to do anything as it will self clean.

Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Just given another Mini to add to the herd. -

Pull your gage, put good amount of lump, will be done when cooled off. Guessing 4 or 5 hours min. That puppy will go 1200+ so don't open it. Damn good chance you will fry the gasket + or - . The Egg pictured above has not had a gasket in 7 years. My new Large I would still do the same thing.Meathead1974 said:For like an hour or so?Salado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now). Good advice for a nuclear clean - for mould, you only need about 500ºF for an hour or so. You can leave your thermo in and not fry the gasket. I have not had to clean burn in over 4 years as we do pizza at least every week or so - keeps it clean.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!
