A few weeks ago @DMW and I were discussing Mac and cheese stuffed burgers. I made a failed attempt at frying some Mac and cheese patties for a topping. He pointed out my error of lack of binder.
I I finally got around to trying again. Just some nuked shells and cheese and a ton of Italian bread crumbs. Formed patties and fried on the black stone.
2 oz balls of 80/20 chuck on griddle hot as hell and seriously squished.
Toasted buns on, you guessed it, the BS.
There were only two burgers with M&C and the kids claimed them. I had one bite. Needed more seasoning. Homemade Mac would be better.
Something to build on.
Pics In vanilla order.

I have been doing my burgers thin and on the CI of late. Mine have been 4 oz, will now try your 2 oz. thanksSalado TX & 30A FL: Egg Family: 3 Large and a very well used Mini, added a Mini Max when they came out (I'm good for now).

@Mickey it's two 2 oz patties. Smashed really thin for lots of crust with the cheese in between.
I read an article describing the process. My family loves them. I'll try to find the link and post. -

@nolaegghead I just put what felt like a shît-ton of Italian bread crumbs in it. Combined with that fake cheesish sauce stuff in the foil packet, it made a nice paste.

Mighty fine looking grub brother. However to keep with the common theme, you could have at least done turkey burgers You know that I only kid my friend.Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

Had a thought on the mac and cheese patties. Next tray I make of home made, I'm going to try and put a few portions in a burger press. It's a terrible thing to do to a helpless burger, but could be perfect to make a nice mac and cheese patti - no?Phoenix

@blasting just make sure you have good cohesion. I tried the first time with egg rings, but it was just too loose.
I didn't have enough Mac this time as I was just playing around so I hand formed.
