Catfish Dinner Along With Assorted Bushes

The diet book said fish tonight. They suggested some kind of exotic fish with really strange seasonings and no mention of being cooked on a Big Green Egg. So we EGGercised our right to modify the dinner to our liking. 

We opted for filet of catfish generously sprinkled with a popular rub from Dizzy Pig, Tsunami Spin, that happens to offer a nice range of flavors that really does a good job on catfish. 

We also opted for grilling on the Small Egg, direct, raised grid until 133° internal.

Yeah, I know... Brown rice. I'm more prone to eating white, fluffy rice with thick brown gravy on it. But hey... it's a diet. 

Anyway, it was delicious.

I've never grilled catfish but it's now on a future menu. Yours looks delicious. Love the first photo with the fillet -- who knew catfish had feet. I thought they only had whiskers
