XL Dome underbite, alignment help after gasket change
nutshellml
Posts: 167
Afternoon all. I just changed to the Rutland gasket and after putting the dome back on my XL BGE, I noticed there is an under-bite and also there was a little space/gap in the front left quarter of the egg. Basically, it was open just enough to easily slide a piece of paper in and out, when I would move it around the dome, it would get stuck and if I put it in near the back of the egg and close the dome it seemed tight and would not pull out. Without recreating the wheel, if there are any other posts about this please point me in that direction, but my basic two questions are:
1) Best way to realign the XLBGE dome to cure the under bite?
2) How tight/lose should the gasket fit, and what to do in order to make it even all the way around?
Thanks all!!!!
