My wife used to say the same thing when I used BGE lump. Buy some Rockwood and you won't have that problem anymore.

Respectfully disagree. Although burning something more neutral like RW will be better on the food. It won't make the guy standing by the egg smell any less like smoke.
Good luck with that....  "Rockwood vs. Everybody Else" seems to be a war of religion for a lot of folks.  Switching to Rockwood will make you better looking, freshen your breath, improve your love life, add 50,000 miles to the life of your tires, get you a raise at work, and improve your golf score.

And don't get me started on those Starter Cubes <shudder>, the root of all evil!

    Weight gain
    Diabetes
    late nights with overnight cooks
    Higher grocery bills
    Ruined going out to dinner
    burned holes in shirts
burned feet when wearing flip flops
smelling like smoke all the time, especially jackets
New budget item for buying grilling accessories
Everybody suddenly wants you to cook for all kinds of events
Up the liquor budget cuz its impossible to cook without a beverage nearby
have to learn how to make bread, pizzas, wok and paellas

Is it all worth it? Yeah, except number 2 but that was probably coming anyway regardless of the Egg and can be managed. Still need to work on paellas...

Don't forget the full assortment of smoking wood you have to inventory so you can smell like smoke.

i married a skinny girl, so I guess the smell of smoked meat isn't naturally attractive to her lol
To avoid getting the smell of smoke in your hair and clothes, you could shave all your hair off and BBQ naked. Then just install an outdoor shower and use it before coming in the house. You wouldn't get burns or stains on your clothes either!

@Backyard Mike  I tried that one... But I have too many cracks in my fence. Think I gave my old neighbor lady a heart attack haha
