in Off Topic
Figured I would drop in to say 'Hello'. Lots going on lately including just recently purchased a home in Florida and of course.. a boat to go with it. Been going full speed at work with my new position, taking trips out on the Gulf, and my other hobby.

Hope everyone is doing well and I'll try to get some posts here sometime soon. =)

    Thanks @SGH and @bgebrent . This is gonna sound horrible but I'm still learning how to fish in Saltwater.. Not the same as bass fishing in the Georgia lakes..haha

    Good to hear from you, nice boat, is that a Scout? I had a Scout Sport Fish before I bought my Skeeter. They are great boats. Wish I still had it.

    It's no where near the same my friend. But it's every bit as enjoyable. Possible more so.

    @ksmyrlThanks!! Technically, I'm in Weeki Wachee (which is also know as Brooksville) but most people haven't heard of that. So far it's been pretty good to me.. well except for my fishing skills. haha

    @SGH, I only catch fish in GA lakes when I'm lucky off the dock!  You come up here (anytime as we've discussed) and teach me how to drive my boat and maybe catch a fish!  I've caught my best fish in saltwater, so if you want to invite down south to go fishing....  I'm all in!  We'd have big fun fishing in a damn quarry brother.

    If there is any way that you can, come down here about mid May and we can catch more fish in one hour than you can clean in a day my friend.

    @SGH @bgebrentNo No No...Ya'll just need to come on over/down here and show me how it's done. I'll supply the beer, the boat, beer, and.. beer. We can pitch in for bait and gas. My wife make's a lovely Captain and can handle the boat quite well. So all we need to do is Fish and Drink!

    Then we can kick back in the Pool once we're done and round up some grub on the Egg. Oh and some more beer of course

    @slovelad - Not yet. We've only been here a couple months but it's on the to-do list. I hear there is an original mermaid still there but I assume she isn't doing shows anymore.. or I hope not anyway.

    I was just down close to St Pete over the weekend to show the wife Ybor City, then stopped off at Whiskey Joe's.

    @ZarconYbor city is great during the day, but it literally turns 180 degrees at night and can be really dangerous place.

    also, let me know if you find some good bbq places in this area, or if you decide to do any BGE related get togethers

    Homosassa/crystal river has arguably the best flats red fishing in Florida , its gold spoon heaven

    Completely off the subject, I have been trying to test this real-time chat at my site. If anyone is willing to come by and drop a few lines, it will be greatly appreciated. And No, I'm not soliciting members.. you don't have to sign up to use it..well, not the public one anyway. Just trying to get a good test to see how it holds up. It's mobile friendly.
