Also for a larger party consider a Prosecco punch.  You can premix batches of everything expect the Prosecco and just pour it together when necessary.  Lots of recipes online for that.
Here is a recipe I came across that would work if you have plenty of guests with high tolerance:

    Chatham Artillery Punch

At least two days before you plan on serving, soak 2 ounces green tea leaves in a quart of cold water.  After a day and a half or so, mix the infused water with the juice of 3 lemons and 1/2 pound light brown sugar.  Add one quart apiece if dark rum, brandy, and bourbon or rye.  Let that mingle at room temperature for at least 8 hours before you pour over a block of ice and add 3 bottles champagne.

I enjoy Knob Creek Rye.  It is on sale at Meijer for $30.

I have read that WhistlePig is the best but I have not had an opportunity to enjoy it.
Whistle Pig is awesome, and not to get technical is a Rye.

upta this summer never had rye, really like how its not so sweat like allot of bourbons but still keeps the similar flavor, i would toss a bottle that out there too,  i like the bulleit rye, no need for me to find a pricier one so i aint looking
Best bargain in Rye is Forty Creek Barrel Select.   Not sure if it's available in the US but up here in Canada you can't get a better rye for twice the price.

    Excellent neat.
