I got in the car the other day the wife had been driving. She had one of the soft rock stations on an playing was Seals & Croft. I can't tell you how long it has been since I had heard any of their music. You may find it hard to believe but they seldom play them on the Grateful Dead station.

My new car came with a free trial subscription to "Sirius XM", and I've really been enjoying the "Real Jazz" station (#63 or so, iirc). Since this past weekend, they've only been playing Zydeco, Cajun, dixieland, 'nawlins-style musics in honor of Mardi Gras, which has been cool. Surprised I haven't heard any Neville Bros yet, some Trombone Shorty and "The Wild Tchoupaloutas*" (I KNOW I didn't spell that right) and I got excited this morning to see a tune with Wynton Marsalis and Eric Clapton come up on the screen, but it SUCKED!! Eric sang like ****, never heard anything like that before (guitar solo was great, of course).
'Nawlins music is great, but in small doses, for me (just like bluegrass, heavy metal, and EDM). Will be anxious to get past Fat Tuesday (Weiner Wednesday?) and back to a variety of jazz.___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."
