Hawaiian Bratwurst Burgers

Here come ol' flat top,
he come groovin' up slowly...
You don't need a Blackstone to have fun with a flat top. These are cheddah & bacon brats from Johnsonville uncased. The pineapple is fresh that I cleaned, cored & sliced thick. I seasoned the patties and pineapple with Pineapple Head. The sauce is a store-brand Hawaiian merinade that we reduced to thicken and it turned out pretty nice. Served with some slaw.
Got some shrinkage here.
Crappy fuzzy plate shot.
It tasted pretty darn good. I only had a Budweiser to go with it, but I was happy with it. Thanks for looking.

Pineapple on burgers is a favorite of mine. We have a restaurant in town that serves them. I always think I'm going try another menu item, but always go with the teriyaki pineapple burger.
What at is this flattop accessory thing? Do you just let the grease run off it?Steven

The flat top is a 1/4" Baking Steel. There was a group buy of them some time back. A few guys made their own or had it made locally. It's a nice accessory that I should use more. I like to make pancakes on it and of course pizza is awesome on it.Flint, Michigan

Thanks everyone! This is the third attempt on this dish. I'm a slow learner. Wilma pointed out that Spam would be more authentic, but who wants to eat that crap when you can eat cheddah & bacon brats?Flint, Michigan
