OT-a song that evokes the best of your earlier life...OT
Okay-fueling up for escape velocity but thought it might be enlightening to see who has "the song" that reminds them of their life when it was a whole lot more innocent than now. Disclaimer-I have accumulated several laps of the sun but when I hear the following https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiiyq2xrSI0 I'm in "flashback mode" and all was well with the world.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

I can remember listening to an 8Track of this over and over with my Dad on our boat in the 70s. Great memories! And the same with CCR.

That and many others slightly before! It was before the British Invasion and slow and up close dancing was special to any young man and woman when they were in love! Thanks for the post! BTW we both just turned 71 and have been happily married for 49 years now so our trips around the sun may have out done your count!

@RRP - Yes I am lagging in the laps of the sun count. Only 66 here-and I am a big believer in Leroy Satchel Paige's pearl of wisdom, "Don't look back, somethin' might be gainin' on you." But every so often I fall off the forward looking theme. And this one is the home-run song for me-for all the reasons you describe.

Tune that brings it back for me, albeit not so happy, is "Another Park Another Sunday", by the Doobie Brothers.___________"When small men begin to cast big shadows, it means that the sun is about to set."

My Dad liked Johnny Cash and we had that in common. This is one of my favorites and puts a smile on my face.
