Turkey/Spicy Sausage Chili on the Small & Cornbread on the Mini.

Our temps barely broke 67° and it was way cloudy so I figured today was a good day for chili & cornbread. So I got the small fired up to bout 350° and preheated the DO for bout 30mins and sautéed some chopped onions. Once the onions were tender crisp I added the spicy sausage to brown up a bit before the turkey meat went in.

After both meats were happy I added a spice mix of cumin,paprika,thyme,red pepper flakes and hot chili powder and let all that get happy for about 10 mins before adding the chicken stock & tomatoes

Then it was time to get the mini goin. Set up indirect @ 400° to preheat the CI skillet for the cornbread This cornbread was made with whole wheat flour and I just couldn't get the top very brown for some reason. It was really good nonetheless
