Question about Butt prep

I'm well into an overnight butt cook. I was hanging out thinking about my process and realized I didnt rinse the butt before rubbing. I injected for the first time with plastic wrap on and then removed before adding rub and placing on the egg. Am I going to have an issue with getting sick? My wife and I just had our first kid in July and I dont want to get her sick, and I def dont want to get the little one sick through breast feeding.

I did not rinse mine..  Removed plastic, added mustard, rub, cooked forever till 200 internal, we all lived and said yummy a lot.

Have no fear sir. You will be just fine. And so will everyone else. That meat will be too hot for any nasties to survive. And unless it sat on the counter until it was 100 percent room temp to the core there are no nasties anyway.
