PBR Like it or Not

A recent post gave me the notion to see how many out there like PBR ( Pabst Blue Ribbon )?

Good for flare ups when forced to use the gasser, not much else for me.

Well my two favorite beers are 1)Free and 2)Cold, so if you are giving away free, cold ones then I wouldn't say no. But I also wouldn't buy one. And if you do, you are a Commie Russian Lover.

Disclaimer...I'm not a hipster.  I have been called a beer snob.  (Although not as many 'check-ins' as some), I have logged 663 (as of today) different beers on Untappd. 

With that all said, I love PBR.  I've been drinking it since ~2000 and it's always a go-to when I'm looking to have more than a few.  I don't know what it is but I just like the taste.

Along the same vein. I can only find it at Total Wine. Drank a few of these in high school. Picked up a 12. Surprisingly drinkable.

not sure if today's pbr is like the old pbr.  can't tell ya how many PBR saloon signs I pulled under while driving cab in the late '70s......gotta love a wisconsin saloon at a 2am closing time.  

one of our local bars has lone star and pbr $2 drafts, all day - everyday.  Ironically, I pick lone star more often......

I'm just kidding.  PBR was my Dad's brew and when I'm feeling nostalgic, I'll buy it.

PBR is far from the worlds best beer.  But it's definitely my favorite cheap beer

Lone Star and PBR both got bought up by the same Russian company, although I hear they are re-opening the old Lone Star Brewery back in San Antonio, so maybe somebody bought them back...I'm with you on the Lone Star, although I prefer Light. Just harder to find.

A pizza joint near Atlanta's Emory, Everybody's  used to have a Pabst Dark on draft      Amazing with pizza made then (circa 74) with fresh ingredients.  Anyone remember Pabst Dark.   I usually hate dark beers but if u remember that one, please recommend a similar beer avail today.

If it's cold and free. I can stomach anything if there's good company and conversation. That's the key IMO.

Pbr brings back fond memories. 1980 i was a tyke and the neighbor drank pbr. And literally dropped the cans anywhere he was in the yard at the time he took the last swallow. Then on lawn mowing day he would pick them all up. Otherwise the place was as neat as any other house on the street. In the fall it got kind of deep after the grass slowed down. I will have to try one again. Worst beer EVER is Gennesee cream ale
