OT - corn cooked on CookAir

Filled combustion chamber with about two handfuls of leftover lumps, lit a spot instantly with butane torch, cranked up the builtin fan, ready to cook in five minutes. Reduced fan speed and started roasting with husk on, lid propped slight ajar with the handle, the charred husk provides nice aroma/smoke. After about 20-30 minutes, rotating occasionally, the corn was cooked like 'steamed' but picked up nice aroma from the husk. Pulled back the husk and roasted naked for char/colour. Dressed with aioli mayo, lime and chili powder. Love my little toy!

@SGH thanks my friend. It was a semi-impulse buy, couldn't resist brick-and-mortar Lowes' clearance price of CAD 79! It's great for small cooks and using up leftover lump crumbs from my egg cooks. With the builtin booster fan, it's like a small furnace in less than five minutes. The built quality is also good, no regrets!

That looks good. I can't believe that sweet corn season is almost over.____________________Entrepreneurs are simply those who understand that there is little difference between obstacle and opportunity and are able to turn both to their advantage. •Niccolo Machiavelli

Neat. Looks like that would be a good way to heat a wok quickly. Is it just a fan blowing air into a funnel?

@odie91 Wokking is on my to-try list. This review shows the combustion chamber, the builtin 5-speed fan pumps air from the bottom through the pin-holes. A wire brush is included to clean out the holes when needed.
