So, I have made and enjoyed butts, loins, tenderloins, ribs, all kinds of chicken, seafood, meatloaf and lots of other stuff on the egg but this might just be my favorite. Hotdogs, wrapped in applewood smoked bacon, dusted with a little rub then cooked indirect at 350 until the bacon was just right. A few Apple wood chips tossed in for light smoke. It may be the best tasting thing I have made yet, but it is certainly nothing compared to some of the fantastic cooks posted here. Just got me to wondering what is wrong with me to like something so tasty and easy to make?

Nothing wrong with hotdogs my friend. They are one of my very favorites. I like them bacon wrapped, chili covered, a smear of sautéed onions, a shot of mustard, a shot of ketchup, a smear of dill relish, a cover of heavy battered fried onion rings and smothered in cheese. Just doesn't get much better than that. Great looking grub. Enjoy.

The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out. -
Man absolutely nothing wrong with that. I typically go on a hotdog binge at the beginning of baseball and burn myself out on them. With this post Nathan's or Hebrew National will probably get some business from me soon. Great looking cook.I raise my kids, cook and golf. I would hit that all day! Not all the recipes are fancy are involved. Moinkballs for example- frozen meatballs wrapped in bacon.
Our dinner last night was simple wings. Dusted with rub and threw them on. Your hot dogs required more prep time than my wings.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
The fact that you fire up the egg for making a hot dog great says it all.Ellijay GA with a Medium & MiniMax

The easier it is to make it the better I like it. Nothing wrong with those dogs, I'd eat them any day. Egg On dude!LBGE (still waitin' for my free T-Shirt), DIgiQ DX2 (In Blue, cause it's the fastest), Heavy Duty Kick Ash Basket, Mc Farland, WI.

Banquet right there-as said above, cook what you enjoy and have fun with it. There is plenty of time to get adventurous and hose up cooks down the road.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Are you using this thread as some kind of come- out announcement about your egging preference? Next thing you know, you'll want to have it legalized. This could be a campaign topic.Dave - Austin, TX

I had these straight off the plate with some sides. Next time I think I'll try them in a bun with mustard, onion and slaw. Should be good.

That is not simple at all. Hotdogs don't get the respect they deserve.
Don't tell your problems to people. 80% of people don't care and 20% are glad you have them.
