Rockwood in Mid Mo

Great deal on Rockwood south of Jefferson City. I bought 20 bags last time I drove though and they still haven't raised the price according to friends that have been back in to the gas station.

If that's a 20lb bag you are living well. Nicely done.
I raise my kids, cook and golf.  When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.
Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

It is a 20lb bag. Just letting people know that Rockwood is available in our area. The problem is anything close sells RO or BGE. I have wondered for a bit while STL and KC have RW and the person truly in the middle of the state can't get it unless they go to a gas station in the middle of BFE.

    THIS^^^^^^^!

I Live in Louisville. An upscale city LOADED with grills of every sort, and BBQ is huge!!!!! I tried to get a Major Area BGE dealer hooked up to sell Rockwood, and I was told their distribution chain was full and did not want any other distribution at this time. I suppose gas stations in the middle of BFE Missouri has more potential with a wider network.
I would love to have a product I do not need to sell.

Just FYI, we have a distributor out in that area for years that delivers bags to quite a few small stores.  They pick up from our warehouse every other week and we have no idea where they go after that as it is very seasonal.  You will find that distributor on our website.

It's not that we don't want any more business, there's just only so much charcoal to go around.  We planned on adding dealers this year, then the whole Ozark Oak thing happened.  Our existing dealers that stocked both products started selling double the amount Rockwood.

We would love to have charcoal in Louisville or other areas, but we're not going to rob it from our existing dealers & customers.......especially the ones in our own state that have been with us for years.

@stlcharcoal  -You got it going on, Just having some fun with you a little bit. I will continue using RW lump, and I will continue to have fun, totally at your expense, due to the product being what it is.
FWIW - Every time I get the occasion to drive for work, I do check to see if you have a distributor in the area. Occasionally, MBW joins me on a trip. If I find a distributor wherever I am going, I buy as much as my vehicle will carry.
As I had posted earlier in another thread: A bag of your lump charcoal is not a very good " wife complaining noise" isolator, when an extra bag rides between the two of us on the road back, but it is a damn good "I better be getting jewelry out of this" initiator.
Hope it gets here one day.
