Got this in an email from the Food Network. Wonder if this would be worth getting when it is too hot, cold or raining out and you don't want to go outside. My stepfather had an electric grill when we were kids and would cook on it when it was cold outside and the patio was snowed in. The steaks off of it was pretty good, but that is before I know about BGE.

You could also just get some binchotan charcoal and egg right in your living room. That would be considerably more expensive.

We had an electric griddle/grill, it had two sets of "plates", one being a griddle and the other being a grid. The grid left the element exposed in some places and it would smoke like bejesus if tou cooked anything with high fat. Gave it to my apartment dwelling son and he used the griddle all the time and the grid for chicken breasts. He still has it. Think it was a GE or B&D and it did work quite well if you set it on the range top and used the exhaust fan.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Or you could use a grill pan... Not an advocate just saying_______________________________________________XLBGE

All you need to know about indoor grilling is how to take the 9v batteries out of your smoke detectors.

The last few times we have used the oven we have smoked the house up, but didn't set the detectors off. I don't like using the oven much anymore.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

This seems to have fairly mediocre reviews. The one that kills it for me is they say the heating element cycles on and off so it makes it difficult to cook a steak. I think a CI grill pan might be a better option. Just my $.02.
I know it is "George Foreman-esque" but I think I would be more inclined to get something like the this: http://amzn.com/B002YD99Y4. You could use it to grill George Foreman style but also works well for sammiches.
Either that or just a CI grill pan like @MrCookingNurse suggested. I haven't tried one except on my egg. I see people use them on cooking shows often and they seem to do a good job, but they probably have much better stove tops than me.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
I took a Spanish cooking class and we cooked filet skewers on one of these: http://www.amazon.com/Lotus-Grill-Smokeless-Charcoal-Barbecue/dp/B00KGCA8SG
it uses lump charcoal and doesn't smoke much at all. I would recommend this for inside grilling.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

I have this at home and used it a lot when I first got it and it was ok.

But this may be better.

This thing is a beast, 27.2lbs. lol
Found the 5-in-1 smoker on clearance for cheap at TJ Maxx. Have yet to smoke inhouse. But on the egg, or in the oven, works good.
The lid is a raised CI griddle pan. Base a CI roaster.
