Smoked Cowboy Chop
Navigator
Posts: 56
Started with a 2.3 lb Snake River Farms/Double R Ranch Cowboy Chop
Hit it with some Meat
Church Holy Cow and smoked it with apple wood @ 225º till it hit 130º
Seared it on the egg in a old Griswold cast iron pan that used to be my grandmas.
I got 2 meals and a sandwich out of it!

Wow! What a great looking piece of meat! I haven't taken the SRF plunge yet, but everytime I see some of their steaks I get closer and closer to pulling the trigger.1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

Dear lord, that is fantastic. Bless me father for I have sinned and covet thy neighbors chops...... Nicely Done!!I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

I've tossed around the idea of smoking a ribeye but have't gotten around to it yet. How long did that take at 225?Charlotte, NC -

Those taters were a last minute idea, I nuked a couple red potatoes, cut them in half and put some meat church Deez Nuts on them and put them in the same hot CI frying pan I was searing the steak in.
