This thing really interested me as it is supposed to put the coals up under the grate. Ordered one up and it came super fast! Its Made of heavy stainless. ![](https://us.v-cdn.net/5017260/uploads/editor/iv/uj2n84piu3q0.jpg)
Removed fire ring and installed the component ring.

Yes, I forgot to empty the fire bowl! So I did, and filled the grate up.

Got or hot crazy fast! This is obviously a seat station haha! But also gives you two zones.
Im glad I ordered it. They have other components I'd like to try. The ring is the only thing you need for all components.

Interesting. That would be great for hot fast searing. How did the burgers turn out?1 large BGE, Spartanburg SC

Update to this post:
After several uses, this thing is great! Only issue I found is that for true two zone cooking you must make sure the firebox is empty. Embers fall from the turbostream and ignight the remaining Charcoal in the bowl.
This thing is awesome.

Couple more pics of this in use with the large Woo.
Two zones: once I took out the charcoal in the bowl haha! -
Very cool but pricey. I'm looking to cook hot and direct for burgers and steak but not end up with an inferno in the time it takes to flip all the burgers (and that's with the vent shut). I've thought of not adding as much lump (normally up to the top of the fire ring) but then I'm reducing the intensity of the sear. What I THINK would work best is raising the level of the lump up to the grill. How has this worked for you and what do you think of just buying the accessory ring and landing a plain ole grate on that to hold the lump?Whale's Vagina, CA

Works great! As long as the bottom is empty, otherwise coals drop down ignighting the lower bed causing a big fire.
