First off I have to say, being new to the "club", it is nice to be able to pour an extra drink after dinner and put a post together

Except when you type 3 paragraphs and it doesn't post correctly  ....

I'll summarize - 400, indirect, cedar plank - didn't care for texture as much indirect, prob will grill direct in future.  Lemon garlic shrimp with oregano and crispy smashed
    potatoes for sides....Happy Monday!

Good looking grub brother. Shrimp and salmon are two of my favorites off of the egg.

Welcome. Is that King Salmon or Sockeye? Looks delicious. I have yet to do shrimp. Keep the posts coming.

@stemc33  It was king salmon - the red color was from the paprika and chili powder in the seasoning

Very nice. Lots of jealous people. Kings have been hard to get the last few years. Lots of Native Alaskans fishing has been limited due to poor King runs.

  • The salmon and shrimp look awesome! Did you do the potatoes on the egg as well or in the oven?

@BigJonMoo73  Potatoes in the oven- parboiled, smashed, olive oil salt and pepper, 450. Still learning how to do it all on the egg and time it out properly.

That all looks good and I like the shrimp in particular.

Always amazes me how simple grilled shrimp are and how great they taste vs. most of the bland versions you get in a restaurant.  (plus in a restaurant they charge you $15 to add 5 shrimp to a meal and here at home you get to cook 37...I counted.)  :plus_one:

Agreed on the after dinner cocktail.  I also recommend a few before dinner, and one during.
