Project Smoke TV Show - Charcoal Briquettes in the BGE

I don't know if anyone else has caught this show yet, but I've been enjoying it so far for the recipes and info on other new cookers/bbq types (Also watching Franklin BBQ on PBS - that's a great one too).

I was catching up on past episodes this weekend and in the one I watched, Steve actually used briquettes for the cook (here's that video). When I saw it I first thought he was off his rocker completely - but after some research (on Naked Whiz site) it does seem there is some rationale to using briquettes at certain times. Though he didn't explain any of that in the video.

Also thought it was funny he used briquettes instead of BGE's own lump - especially since they co-present/sponsor the show. Did anyone else catch this?
