Planks from Outdoor Gourmet are soaking. Going to simply put some DP Raging River on and cook. Suggestions on time and temp? Raised direct or direct (have AR). Pics soon. Thanks!

I do raised direct around 350* for about 20-25 minutes; until IT reaches 140*---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada

I would probably go raised direct so the planks don't burn too much. 350-400ish until it flakes with a fork, or IT is about 140.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Raised direct gives you a little more wiggle room but you're fine direct too, I'd say start your cook around 300 if not raised. It'll be delicious!Chicago, IL - Large and Small BGE - Weber Gasser and Kettle

Salmon came out great!!! Cooked at 350-400 for 22 minutes or so raised direct on middle level of AR. Smooth and buttery. Oven baked salmon comes out drier - this felt like it was marinated in butter or something. Simply amazing. Thanks everyone.

Great cook! I'm just throwing this out there, but I do some cooking with the clay bakers. If you have not used these before, you soak in water to help steam what you are baking. I am wondering if it's possible something like this could be made into a fish plank. Hmm.

pgprescott saidOnly thing is you would loose the wonderful kiss of Cedar the planks impart to the fish. It's divine IMHO.
Ok I can see that! Thanks.
