Arrived last night for the U2 show, very cool town. I had always hear about Neptune's Oyester Bar, the typical 2.5 hour wait, and the tremendous food that followed. MBW and I tried it out. It was good but not 2.5 hour waiting good. In fact I cheated. I went next door (because I was hungry) to a deli and got a lobster roll. It was killer. I tried the same thing at Neptunes and it was not as good. 200+ bucks for two lobster rolls (not great) 2 blue crab cocktails, (excellent) and a bottle of White Bordeaux sauv blanc, 80 bucks, bought at Costco for 17, excellent)
Anyway, we are going to do the Freedom trail today, if anyone knows of any great Q joints here, I would appreciate some advice! Thanks!
it is my turn to pick where we eat today, MBW picked Neptune's.

Don't know of any good Q joints but be sure to stop at Mikes pastries after you see Revere's house. It's in the general vicinity. For some awesome Italian, go to Lemoncello's, also near Revere's place.

There are no good BBQ joints in Boston. I have lived just outside of Boston my entire life. Seafood is what you will find here that you won't find other places. Stick with that.

Caught a late lunch at  Lemmoncello's.
MBW had lobster ravioli with the Pinot Gris I had the veal saltombucco and Sangiovese. Very awesome meal.
    Thank you for the recommendation!

If you like hole in the wall kind of places with great food give this place a try.  Very small and think only cash but remember the food very well.  I've been to all the more we'll know places in the north end too but really enjoyed this place.

Another vote for Mike's and the seafood and or Italian recommendation is spot on, it's what we do best. But if you want a steak Del Frisco's in the Seaport district.

Cool setting. We were 4th row. I have some really great images, I will post later. I have seen U2 a few times, but IMO, this was the best I have seen. It was in Boston Gardens, stage ran the length of the floor, and the overhead screen was cool. They actually played inside of the video screen, kind of interactive. One video was awesome they showed during intermission; a tribute to Johnny Cash. It was a computer generated image of Johnny Cash very young, when he first started out, and as the song continued, his image got older, it was cool. They also had a statement made by Steven Hawking, a tribute to BB King, Bob Dylan, and Paul Simon. They did all their new stuff, and plenty of the old. Great, great show!
