Calling @nolaegghead! Linking Two Echo's Together

@nolaegghead I need your advice. I got my first Amazon Echo last week and got it connected flawlessly.

My second Echo came in today. I will be hooking this one up on the same wifi network. I used my laptop instead of my Ipad or phone to setup the first one.

What is the proper procedure for having two on the same account? Thank you for any help you are about to give.

Man you went all in on these things.
I'm going to have to take a second look. I quickly dismissed them when I read the press release for them.

    They do look interesting

We like them. Well my wife loves them. She is really enjoying the music part of it. You know what they say "happy wife happy life".

    • Cool!  What can you do that you couldn't do with one and the remote?  I'm intrigued I have one, but would love a reason to get another.

My second Echo is still in the box, need to get off my duff and get her running.

John, I PM'd you my phone number.  We had a dinner party tonight and I've been off-line for a while.

Thanks for the PM @nolaegghead. I appreciate your offer of help. I got lucky and got it to work with no problem. The only thing I don't understand is the my first one came with a remote, but my second one didn't.

I didn't order the first remote. It was just in the package.

Not to beat a dead horse, but I love these things! We mainly use it for the music feature, but it is really nice. I can say "Alexa, play Stone Temple Pilots", and she will pull up all of the songs in the Prime library.

If I don't like a particular song I can say "Alexa, play the next song." The sound quality is really good as well.

I am seriously thinking about adding at least one more!

My first one died after a week.  Amazon replaced it no problem.

It's a handy music speaker, but not much more than that (for me).  I'm glad I got the Prime discount.

I hope mine live a long time. That is all we are using it for as well, but I am satisfied with that.
