Tried them and returned them. The dexterity was poor and they felt awkward. I have very large hands and they were a bit snug. Maybe if they fit better I would have had better control.Tbla said:Great looking cook. Your hired!!,
I just bought a pair of Gecko Grip gloves. I haven't had a chance to try them. I am worried they will be awkward. Anybody else try these?

yeah, they are awful! See my review above.
An example of something you can do and hopefully still return them. Put them on, wash them with some soap. Once they are all lathered up with bubbles try to take them off. Now imagine doing this when your hands are sweating inside and sticking.
Sorry for the tangent, BACK TO THE PORK!

Butts are looking great!
I have both types of those gloves. I have the butterball carving gloves that are similar to the Mr. BBQ. They are "rough" so they have decent grip and dexterity. I use them for pulling pork.
I have some of the other thick silicone like the "gator" gloves. I really like them for oven mitts and pulling food off the egg. They are slick though. Even thought hey look "grippy" they are not so you have to be careful. They are not dexterous enough to pull pork, so I like to have both.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg. -
I will say that these are easy to get on and off, but sometimes when my hands are slippery, I need to bite them to pull them offXLBGE, Small BGE, Homebrew and GuitarsRochester, NY
