Lobster Guy in Maine-OT

Last summer went to Maine. Came across The Lobster Guy. Mail ordered 12 lobster for our feast last night. All 12 overnighted in the below packaging. You might have seen it from my other post. Steamed 8 last night and then made these lobster rolls this AM with the leftovers. Unreal and can't say enough about The Lobster Guy.

@YukonRon and @Dyal_SC yep. As good as it gets. You can place the order out a ways when you want them. They are caught and overnighted same day and arrive alive on your selected day. As fresh as it gets

Those look good.  Best rolls I ever had were very simple Lobster meat, drenched in clarified butter on a roll.

That's him. We did the 1.5lb pack. Perfect size.

Authentic with the split top roll, too!  Well done. Spent 4 years in Maine eating lots of cheapo culls and can't get enough lobster 30 years later.

Anytime we flew into Maine for refuel before heading to Ireland etc the plane would mechanically be down for the night. Normally we would deem it a hydraulic or oil leak. Funny thing is if it wasn't leaking that's when you should be worried because that would mean it's empty (once you got in the sky she'd seal up nice and tight). But, I digress...when the bird was down for the night we would crate up a boat load of lobsters. I miss those days.

So, what you are saying is that whether or not you had an oil/hydraulic leak, when landing in Maine, you ALWAYS had a leak

Thanks. No I have never ordered anything but lobster from him. First class operation so sure they are great.

Nice! I can't tell from the picture, are they shipped in water, or do they stay alive out of water for the trip?

They are in a thick styrofoam container in individual compartments. Then there are gel ice packs on top and wet newspaper on top. Then taped up. They are off boat and at your house in 24 hours or less. Likely less. Still alive and well when arrive. Can place them in veggie drawer of fridge for another day but need to cook them after that for best quality
