Happy belated Independence Day eggheads. HuskerMaMa, Lili Ann and I trucked ourselves to a 4th celebration in Green Cove Springs. And then...the storms began in the early afternoon.
Here's a lightning map a link you can use to see live lightning strikes. http://www.blitzortung.org/Webpages/index.php?lang=en&page_0=32
Yesterday was the worst we can recall in over twenty three years living here.
No sooner did it seem the storms were letting up the power went out and our standby generator engaged. It was out around 5-7 hrs I guess. Back when I installed the standby generator I wired it to cover 98% of our home but, even before the eggs saw no need for the oven or clothes drier. Here's the cause of the outage. People's responses and comments are sometimes arrogant and ignorant. We thank our linemen!

I digress. Here's our humble Independence Day Meal. Happy 239th America

That's a great looking picnic at home Blake. Bravo
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -
Blake, I understand the oven but, how are you using the egg to dry your clothes?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada -
All American meal right there!

I'm with @theyolksonyou , That is All-American. And power outages are no fun. When I first moved here I thought I had been transported to a third world location-but that's too OT for here.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

Don't worry, the lineman are making good money lol. If their call out works like ours, they were on double time, and I'm not a lineman - we share the union.

'Murica!
