yep, my first BGE cook though I have been smoking using an offset smoker for years....
-
My best nights sleep ever during an overnight cook.....I didn't worry at all slept like a baby.....small butt is at 174 and large one is at 168.....looks like I may need to FTC around noon.....sausages go on then.....
-
Already commented once but again Awesome I'm ashamed of mine.

Party was a huge success, took a few pics when I wasn't busy making pizzas or other hosting duties....my butts came out perfectly but I must admit the pizzas were the biggest hit as I used 00 Caputo flour and San Marzano canned tomato's for the sauce base both from Naples Italy for authentic Napoli style pizzas with everyone's choices of 10 different toppings...thanks again to everyone here for your input to make my initial BGE cook a roaring success...

I was so busy cooking pizzas I forgot to photograph any of them as they were devoured as soon as they came out of the oven and you can see I forgot to take a pic of the pulled pork platter until it was just scraps! LOL
-
Awesome oven, and it looks like you gave the space a proper breaking-in!___________

Very nice space and looks like the party went very well too. Congrats on both!! Nicely Done!!I raise my kids, cook and golf. When work gets in the way I'm pissed, I'm pissed off 48 weeks a year.Inbetween Iowa and Colorado, not close to anything remotely entertaining outside of football season.

PS that's awesome!
Yolk, I just snorted.Sherriff, holy crap man. That set up looks like something off one of those home improvement/makeover shows! (I know this because that was really the only thing I watched on cable TV before we decided it was overrated and overpriced). My backyard has had a big transformation since we moved into this house but holy wow. I could only dream about that paradise!

Thanks again everyone and yes this has been in the plans for over 5 years....its our retirement present to each other from my wife and I, her outdoor living room, my outdoor kitchen.....now I'm off to have a leftover pulled pork sammich for lunch
-
Looks great sherrif!
Just hope Buckeye doesn't see the fork in that second picture. Come to think of it, not sure what his view is on tongs?---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada -

jad...the misting fan works great out to about 10 feet from it and it didn't get things too wet, even right under it was only a small amount of water and yeah it was needed as it was 105 yesterday even at 5 pm when the party started...I found it on Amazon BTW
-
Awesome thanks.. they're relatively local.
