Welcome to the forum and to the lifestyle.
Looking forward to seeing your future cooks!---------------------------------------------------------------------------------Well, "spa-Peggy" is kind of like spaghetti. I'm not sure what Peggy does different, if anything. But it's the one dish she's kind of made her own.____________________Aurora, Ontario, Canada -

After a CRANKIN' hot pizza cook, my PS and firebox looked BRAND NEW. Without the PS, I'll do a burn-off cook maybe annually and just let 'er SMOKE until clean.

Who has and likes the cast iron grid for the XL
-
Congrats! mines chugging along since last night. Ribs on later!

Congratulations on the new XL, you're going to love it! You'll also like the woo and stone. I have the sme setup and I really like the versatility. I have a smaller cast iron grid that I place on the lower ring of the woo for searing.

Welcome to the machine. I have an XL and a MM. Best money I have ever spent.
I promise you a couple of things:
1) This forum is loaded with great folks that have unbelievable knowledge about anything remotely related to the BGE.
2) The cost to join, is absolutely nothing, compared to the cost to stay in.
The first item you will need to purchase is a recliner, with a large cup holder, for you to use when you start the BGE therapy sessions. IT IS NOT COINCIDENTAL THAT BGE RHYMES WITH OCD!
Seriously though, have fun, that is what this is all about."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Great price on the brisket. If I could find them at that price, I'd cook one every week !!!! Usually at least $5.99 /lb around me. 13lb=$78 bucks...that hits the pocket hard!!!
I like the looks of the CI grate. I have not invested in one yet...maybe someday.
Thanks for posting.Donnie Dawes - RNNL8 BBQ - Carrollton, KY
