I received my care package yesterday and after several hours of anticipation at work, I was finally able to get home and open last night.  Thank you very much to @gmac for the wonderful note and goods from Canada.  This was just in time for Canada Day celebration tomorrow!  You bet I will be tapping into those beverages tomorrow!

Having visited Canada many times, I got a big kick out of your selections and truly appreciate your generosity.  My daughter listened to the Celine Dion CD last night, so even that was a win!

My son and I used the Habanero sauce on some tacos last night and really enjoyed it.  The Saskatoon Berry syrup looks very interesting, and we might have to incorporate that into a pancake breakfast very soon.  I can't wait to try the Newfoundland Screech Rum Sauce and Veggie Blaze rub!  You gave me a ton of options with the stuff you included, so I'm still trying to process all the combinations!

Excellent work @gmac !  I am very lucky that I was your draw, and hope that I can someday return the favor.  I am also into craft beer and would love to do a beer exchange sometime.

Glad it made so quickly. Hope you enjoy everything. The golf balls were from my work and were literally sitting at the back door as I packed so they got thrown in. You're lucky you didn't get a dog and an 8 year old too :)

If I had known you were a craft beer person I would have sent a better beer but Canadian fit the theme I was going for. And for the record, Rush is the only Canadian band I actually listen to.

Sorry about all the newspaper. It was all I had for packing material. But you should check out some of the grocery flyers and see just how badly we are getting ripped off up here when it comes to beef prices.

Take care and let me know what you enjoy (and what you hated).

@gmac The Pro V1's totally redeemed the Celine Dion CD.

My bad... I looked at the picture of what @gmac sent out and assumed that the Celine Dion CD was a fire starter.

I think you got that backwards, the Celine Dion CD redeems the Pro V1's.

I definitely noted the Beef prices in the grocery flyers you used to pack everything with .  Yikes!  I also enjoyed the Canadian Tire ads!  I've spent plenty of $$ at the CT in Kenora, ON while fishing up there.

The tracking number on the package I sent out said it arrived yesterday.  Hopefully he got it and posts pics soon.

Mine went out today. To my elf-- sorry for the delay. It took me a while to find proper packaging to ship a mini egg. I also hope you have a garage to house the pallet of lump I sent.

Dear Secret Forum person:  Thanks for the head's up that my packages are on the way.  This sums up how I'm feeling....

Edit:  I see now where I could have replied to him direct via email...however, this was more fun to use the GIF here =)

@bigguy136 Thank you so much for the amazing package!  I can't believe that you sent Australian Liquorice.  I discovered Australian Liquorice about a month ago and I'm hooked on it.  I've never seen the watermelon flavor and I'm looking forward to trying it.  There was one bottle of Svens that didn't make it, you did a much better packing job than I did (the package I sent lost two bottles of sauce and one rub).  As your letter indicated we are only one state apart but you were able to send many items that I can't find in Illinois.  My wife is as excited to try the stuff as I am.  She has requested Wee Willy's on tonight's spatch chicken.  I can go on and on...The Wild Triple Berry Syrup looks awesome. The replacement Stoker wire will come in handy.  I know I'll burn up my original wires eventually.

    Thanks Again!

I'm sorry one bottle didn't make it. UPS must be getting more rough with their handling.

I hope you enjoy as I enjoyed picking out the products. The temp probe wire should be enough for 2 standard probes or 1 very long probe. Let me know if you have questions changing out the wire.

Thanks @cazzy for doing all you do. My 4th will be enjoying the products I got from my elf.

Steven @stemc33 sent me an awesome box of rubs, jellies and sauces from the Northwest. Not a single item I'd ever seen or tried before. I had cheese and crackers with the pepper jellies last night. Especially can't wait to try the ambrosia with some pork and the chicken rub with dried cranberries in it.

    Awesome job.

When I first seen the NC in your @NCEggSmoker forum name, I thought crap, what am I going to get a guy from what some call the BBQ Capital. I started picking up a few things in Alaska and Oregon on my vacation looking for things made locally. I was hoping I wouldn't draw someone from the PNW. They probably wouldn't have been impressed with the Burgerville spread. The Burgerville sauce is from a popular fast food restaurant in the PNW that advertises with the slogan "Inconveniently located for most of America". That's one of the first pit stops for a person from the PNW has been out of the region for a length of time. At the same time, I was also hoping I wouldn't draw somebody from a BBQ hotspot. Hard to shop for you guys that have it all.

Although there's only a few things from Wyoming as it's not known for BBQ/Cooking. I'm glad it's all new stuff to you.

This is has been a lot of fun and I hope you enjoy sauces/rubs/jellies.
@stemc33 you should be a seasoned pro now sending to NC. You did well for me and for this exchange.

I just wanted to say thanks again to @Brisket_Fanatic for the thoughtful package. I'm using my third rub tonight, Miss Bev's Kick Ass Rooster Rub. Last night was BBQ chops with Memphis SmokeHouse rub and I went caveman with Montana Cattle Co. Sweet and Spicy Prime Rib rub a few nights ago.

@DoubleEgger - Your welcome, hope you enjoying them. That plastic jug one is a local BBQ restaurant. It has lots of sugar so you may need to cut the top off.

@Hibby I was amazed, and still am, at all the stuff Chris Hibbert sent me from the great state of Ohio. We don't have Amish here in Texas (that I know of) so this is perfect. I've already 'dug in' and tried the Peach Butter-amazing! This is going to be a great weekend!!! Thanks @cazzy for all your hard work in putting this together.

@Lmidkiff I love apple butter, pumpkin butter and sweet potato butter. I'd be very interested in that peach butter and all those other goodies!
  • Got my package today. @bowhunr sent me an awesome package. I e never seen or heard of any of it. I would have broken some of it open tonight if I didnt have ball practice with my boys so late. Wife and kids gone for rest of week so I'll be testing out some hot stuff tomorrow. Thanks so much. Love these exchanges. This forum is awesome. Thanks again to @cazzy

Yeah the strawbanero is probably in jeopardy. I love my homemade jalapeno jelly on cream cheese with crackers. I would have to think this is better. I have a pork loin to cook. Im thinking a strawbanero glazed pork chop would be magnificent.
