Chocolate Pecan Cobbler

I teach this dessert in many of my BGE classes and compete with it occasionally in KCBS so I figured I should share it with you guys. You have to try it. I teach if frequently because it is easy yet SO DAMN GOOD!
I prefer a little bit of a light wood in the cook, but you can exclude if it's too smoky for your liking. Also, the chocolate is optional, but I'm not sure why you would exclude the best part.
First the recipe here -> Pecan Cobbler Recipe and then some pics.....
Chocolate Pecan Cobbler on a L BGE in class 05.30.2015.
Mini Chocolate Pecan Cobblers in Lodge cast iron on CGQ 2 tier for a KCBS comp in 2014.
2014 Bedford Blues & BBQ dessert turn in.

Looks awesome. I did a pecan pie for Thanksgiving this last year in 12" CI skillet and it turned out pretty good. The only thing I would add maybe is a little bourbon to the recipe.XL, WSM, Coleman Road Trip Gas GrillKansas City, Mo.

Man that is awesome. My only problem is I think the little cast iron skillet would burn my mouth when I housed it in one big bite.Which came first the chicken or the egg? I egged the chicken and then I ate his leg.

Bourbon is really good in it. The only reason we didn't do it is we served American Born Moonshine (Dixie Sweet Tea) Arnold Palmers in the class that drank more like John Daly's.
And we just can't bring ourselves to remove the Blue Bell from the recipe. Painful.....
