Maverick 732 w/ 12 mile range

I wanted ribs tonight, but a granddaughter had a ball game starting at 5:00pm.  Finally decided to go ahead and trust my DigiQ and eat after the game ... trust but verify that is.  I always use a Maverick on the pit as an alert for temp problems.  This time I stood the Maverick in front of a dLink camera in the family room:

Then used my smartphone to monitor the Maverick from the ball game:

The food readout is from a probe inside the opened rain box.

Figured if the temp went down while away, then no drastic problem. If the temp started climbing, one of my neighbors could be called on to pull the plug on the DigiQ.  Additional features are that the DigiQ could be plugged into a cheap internet on/off switch controlled by my Liftmaster garage door internet interface to control the DigiQ without neighbor intervention.  The dLink could also be programed to save a picture every 10 minutes or so ... the picture values could then be inserted into MS Excel to obtain temp/time plots.  Think that covers all the functions of the wifi units ... yes?

One picture to show you what the baby back ribs looked like ... Rockwood lump, hickory smoke wood, Oakridge Dominator rub, six hours at 250 degrees grill temp, and Red Mud sauce 30 minutes before pulling from the egg:
