brisket temp dropping in cooler before lunch
We are not ready to eat and brisket has been in the cooler for 3 hours. It was foiled and wrapped in towels. Can I place some broth in the foil and oven at keep warm or will it dry out? I don't want to ruin it because it smells epic. Any help would be great.

I would not put it in broth, but would do lowest setting on oven possible.

Copy will the broth just be too much moisture in the long run. I have it running at 160 in the oven. Hoping for the best.

what was the brisket temp when you pulled it from the cooler? I can go 8 hrs easy in a cheap cooler with towels

145ish when I removed it from the cooler. Probably panicked but too late now.

When I'm just holding to eat, I hold in the oven at 145. If I'm holding to transport, I hold in the oven at 170. Both work extremely well for numerous hours.
Holding in general is new to me as I'm cooking briskets faster than I ever have. Taking me about 4-5 hours less than what I've been used to.Just a hack that makes some $hitty BBQ....
