    FWIW no discrimination either way.
    I concur 100%.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

I am just getting my first egg finally but I am already eyeing the mini max! I'm ocd like that though I like things to match, even down to the paperwork. Joe Jr is the better deal much like joe classic is a better deal than large big green egg. Don't think you can make a wrong choice honestly.

I had both. Sold the jr so all my Kamardos matched. Should have sold the MM. The KJ is cheaper, holds more lump, comes with everything you need, and is lighter. The MM carrier is better buts that's it.

I have the Large BGE and a joe jr. I love them both but use the jr more. It works perfectly, is stingy with the lump and handles plenty of food for us. I only use the large when we have company. I would buy the jr in a heartbeat.
FWIW, we have a classic joe and an Akorn jr at our vacation place,  all of these work great, the only real mistake would be sticking with propane!

I would find a KJ forum if I were you. Not being mean or anything but this is BGE site.  Certainly have a larger KJ audience on one of their dedicated sites.
I respectfully disagree. I've browsed that forum, not very active at all. I'm sure you will get better info here.

FWIW, I have XL & S BGE and a Jr. They all work.
+1 - BGE and KJ Jr. owner here as well. This forum is great. Let's not deflect others that share our passion for BBQ because of the rig they use.

I understand but this is a BGE site and forum.  They do have generic BBQ forums like http://www.bbq-brethren.com/forum/index.php?s=74afef51ae2bd354f96137d02fe9cd82 that are suited exactly for that.

Then again, the moderator doesn't seem to monitor much so it maybe it doesn't matter to them.

Have had the MM since shortly after it was released on the market. No regrets.
Georgia Mountain Eggfest must have had 15 demo MM Eggs. They look like great little grilling machines.

You make a very good point and I completely respect your opinion. I truly do.
On the flip side I have never visited a product specific forum where other brands were not talked about, discussed and compared for value...good or bad.
This forum is very active with a wealth of members with so much BBQ cooking experience. Many members cook on a variety of cookers and it would be a waste in my opinion not to learn from their experience. Competition between brands is what helps keep prices in check and forces improvements in products.
As long as people are respectful and not trashing a product on their forum I welcome the comradery.
BBQ-Brethren is a great forum but not my first choice for advice on ceramics.
I know I might catch some hell for posting a questing about another brand on this forum but I also know I will get many helpful answers.
I just like outdoor cooking on my Egg, Weber, KJ or my stick burner. I have learned so much about all of them on this forum over the years.
Respect and have a great holiday weekend...
    Thank you,

LBGE and MM. Would not think of getting rid off MM. Lights quick, great for most cooks. Thought about the joe jr. Bought the MM unseen.
