My Mom has a funny story about the Wizard of Oz. Back in the day before cable & satellite TV, that movie would play once a year on broadcast TV stations. It was an event for us kids. Anyway, the first part of the movie is in sepia toned black & white. Our neighbors just bought their first color TV set and they couldn't figure out why the color wasn't working. The wife was good friends with Mom so she calls to commiserate about the broken TV. Mom had a good laugh and told her to keep watching.Flint, Michigan
