My week started with an 800 mile drive directly into a 16 hour work day/night. Ended with working last night and a 700 mile trip home....so, zero egging. I did get to pass through Lafayette LA early. The only place open was Don's Specialty Meats. Not sure about the quality of the 2 kinds of sausage I purchased but the cracklins were spot on. I figured they were Cajuns because I could not understand a word they were saying. Picked up a few sauces and a jambalaya mix also. Extremely nice folks...I got there at 5:30 and squeezed in a nap that may have saved me. Nothing else was open.
