spare me please

Couple racks of spares. One to my buddy that took me to a bloody mary marathon at 10 am. Ribs almost didn't happen. 

Split racks...all with Head Country, one sauced with HC and one with Sweet Baby Ray's. ...


Potato salad, southwest beans, deviled eggs and cheddar biscuits. 


3.5 at 250, 30 in foil and finished indirect to char a little. Not off the bone...perfect pull.

I just don't understand the love for sweet baby rays sauce. I know everybody has their own tastes, but that stuff just seems to be the definition of a mass-produced, sugary, store bought crappy sauce. Maybe a step abouve Kraft original.

I'm not sure I mentioned "loving" sbr. It's all I had. No stubbs and out of Head Country. We managed to get them down though.

Okay, the damn ribs look good ... geez ... this thread made me drag out a frozen rack last night to cook this morning.  So much to cook and so little time ... have I told you lately that I hate you guys?

Bought some Rudy's BBQ sauce out in AZ ... want to try it on my own cooking.

those look great which do you prefer spare or baby back?  I have always had great success with baby back never have tried spare ribs I don't know why?

I like spares better but haven't done any that looked quite that good. Those look really meaty.

To me spares are meatier. Also, they are a more even cut than bbr. Even in length and thickness. I buy beer, ammo and spares at Walmart. The Tyson spares always turn out great.
