My daughter played travel softball for years, we borrowed shade for years, but eventually broke down and bought a pop-up once, it lasted exactly one weekend when a wind kicked up and flipped it, the struts creased, end of story.  the friends that have had them for years use weights suspended from the top corners to stabilize them.

I have a lot of umbrellas in the backyard, I find they work great from 11-1, any other time I end up tilting them and then a slight breeze spins them or causes other problems.

the Sunsetters are great Blake, but it you're going to get one, spend the extra and get the one that retracts automatically with rain or wind load.

only other thought would be one of those sail shades or whatever they're called.  triangular or rectangular, tie off on corners and you suspend it above your area. I think they're really strong and made from a weather compatible cloth. if you put up a couple of poles, you could string one of those up.
    Love you bro!

@EggObsessed Yes Mam. I saw this one. Issue I have is the area I'm putting it I'm limited to around 10x10 and I definitely want the taupe vented. Found a real nice one at ****'s Sporting Goods but, was a scosche to big.

@DMW - we use the Quik Shade S100 10x10 for the beach and baseball/softball.  It's around $160 but you can find them on sale.  It's vented top keeps the wind from being a problem (even on the beach).  We keep the canopy on the frame so it assembles in seconds.  Only problem is its heavy but does have wheels.  We've used it A LOT over the last 2 summers without any damage......yet.
