White Salsa?

I was digging around the Web for something a little different and found this. I did adjust the rub, added spices I liked and amp'd up the heat slightly.
Adjust and or add what you like!

Hope you enjoy.

1 C Miracle Whip (Required)
1/2 C milk
2 Tbl sour cream

1 Tbl "It’s my Rub" Smooth Blend (You can add more)
1 Tsp Fiesta Taco Seasoning
2 Shakes of Fiesta Jalapeno Salt
2 Shakes of Fiesta Chili Lime Seasoning
1 Packet True Lime
1/2 Tbl chopped garlic (Bottled is OK)
1/2 Tbl ground cumin
1/2 Tbl dried oregano
1/2 Tbl crushed red pepper flakes

Whisk together all ingredients until blended well.
Let chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours.
But it's much better when it sits in the fridge overnight.
Serve with Original Sun Ships.
Ruffles for a salty taste or just plain tortilla chips.

Interesting.....would love a pic of the finished product if available.  I need to find those Fiesta seasonings in Georgia.

no offense intended but whoever created that recipe and calling that a salsa is quite the stretch.  Sounds more like a white taco dip.  I mean there isn't a single fresh ingredient or actual vegetable in the recipe?

@Adrock None taken. In reading about this, somewhere in the USA they have Mexican Restaurants that serve this in tandem with "Regular Salsa". So I guess that's why it is called "White Salsa"

You could add the veggies in a fine chop if you like. I may do that next time.

Call it what you wish but it is a great way to deliver just about any flavor profile you can think of. Savory, Italian, Indian, Southwest or anything else.

You can adjust the milk to make it tighter. It is really a great versatile base with the zing of Miracale Whip.

I would take a look at the web site. These guys have a lot of new items all the time and most of their line is not carried at store level. Shipping is fair also. Wally World has a fair selection.

That sounds so good!  I adjusted the recipe in my file to reflect no milk and double sour cream.  I may have to sneak over Judy's shoulder and get a smidge.

Depends upon what you think salsa is?

Quite simply, in spanish, it means "sauce".  It is not specific to that tomato, onion, & jalapeno concoction many people think of when they think of salsa.

Maybe a more appropriate name would not mix languages and you can call it blanco salsa, literally "white sauce".

Zmokin is correct.  Just means "sauce".  You could empty the condiment section of your refrigerator into your blender, add some cumin, and you have salsa.

I make my own dill dip with 50/50 mix of sour cream/mayo, then add dried diced onions, a squirt of lemon juice, and a bunch of dill.  If I want to kick it up a little, i add some home grown cayenne pepper powder.

Thanks guys. Whatever you want to call, call it good. This $hit is amazing. Next round will be with the veggies and jalapeños. @Zmoken I will even throw in some dill. I like dill.

Best meatloaf I ever had was loaded with dill.
