Purchased our very first Big Green Egg on Friday, picked up materials on Saturday morning and by late Sunday, Egg was resting in it's new home! Ordered a table nest for an air gap on top of the stone after reading that recommendation several places on this forum... hoping it won't make it too tall!
Photos are a little out of order, not sure how to change that...

Sweet lookin table. Congrats on the egg. Does it open when pushed up against the house or do you have to pull it away?

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey. Nice job with the table and good call with the air gap.Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. # 38 for the win. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period.

Nice table. Nothing like building your own table.

Thought I would post the materials list and cost of the table for anyone that might have an interest... all materials from my local Lowes... I also covered the hole where the concrete paver used to be with some sheet metal so the egg wouldn't sit too tall. Loving this BGE!!!

I think i'm going to copy your design, thanks so much for posting!

That is a great looking table. And good idea with the stainless steel under the egg. It will definitely help with clean up from ash removal.

Looks great, and quick turnaround on the build as well! Enjoy!Ajax, ON Canada(XL BGE, MED BGE, La Caja China #2, and the wife's Napoleon gasser)

Great looking table - and the table nest is ideal. A standard foil pie plate will slide between the egg and that sheet metal piece, allowing you to just rake the ash right out. Cleaning the ash is easy peasy.Delta B.C. - Whiskey and steak, because no good story ever started with someone having a salad!

Top notch table Papa.

Nice looking setup, but it appears to be missing a bottle opener?MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

Nice looking tables! I have something on my table that I haven't seen anyone else do to my knowledge. I frame in an ash dump opening into the bottom where the egg sits. It's about 4x6 inches.
It really makes it much easier to clean out the ashes. Just rake out the ashes into a bucket that sits under the ash dump opening.
