    Honestly, you guys would never know about these brief backorders if Firecraft didn't send that email.  It takes them a day or two to process the orders anyway.  Rarely have they ever run out where a truck isn't already en route with a restock.

    My Walmart still has Kingford Briquette in stock. We can't even get Royal Oak lump anymore. A sad state we are in here.

    Keep steaming your veggies with a solar steamer & hope the clouds don't screw with you.  =)
    PS: Only steam during daylight. They don't work after sundown.

    Down to my last bag of Rockwood. I had a bag of BGE, opened and used all four pieces larger than my fist. I just scoop the rest of the small stuff out and throw it on top. I will either have to do a road trip or get on the back order list with firecraft, because in a metropolitan area the size of LOUISVILLE there is no retail outlet.

    When I place an order with a vendor, I expect them to ship it that day if the order comes in before 2pm. Granted, the later in the day the greater the chances of the order not making the truck. Why don't they have your product in stock. Having a truck enroute is a crutch. They should have ordered ahead of time to keep their warehouse full. Not wait until the last minute as the warehouse is on going on Empty. A truck on the way does not fulfill orders; it delays them. A good distributor should easily stock a 30 day demand. Sounds like Firecraft does not make that commitment and the manufacture is making excuses for why a distributor is unable to fulfill orders as they come in.

    So don't order from them, get your lump somewhere else.  Oh, you can't get it somewhere else, or firecraft is the cheapest, or you don't have time to drive 20 miles to get it?  

    If their website did accurately say they were out of stock when you sat down in your chair and opened up that browser, you would've done what?  Ordered from somewhere else?

    This is the whiniest thread I've ever seen.  Seriously, you sit in a chair at home and order 100# of charcoal on your computer and someone brings it to your door but you're pissed because you didn't know they were out of stock for a day or two?  Order earlier next time.

    stuff happens.  i've dealt with FC and they've been great.  suggest you contact them first, before you complain about them here.  why put them in a bad light when i'm sure they will resolve your problem.
