seal fail on bottom vent

Hi all-  I have a wierd question.  The seal along the bottom vent on the side of my egg has started to peal, leaving gaps between the metal vent and the egg.  It looks like it is just silicon, but I'm wondering if anyone else has had this problem and what y'all have used to fix it.

Some high temp silicone and you should be good to go. Peal the old stuff off and clean the area with rubbing alcohol, apply when the egg is cold obviously.

Unless it will not snuff out or you see smoke, I would not bother doing anything, @EggieG has the suggested correction.
